 2) Chaos is not the enemy to innovation. It actually is the fodder for implementation. Once you steal time and create open space and hear from God, then you go back into the chaos. It is there that innovation is implemented. God wants to use the craziness to speak truth and life. It was the storm that created an opportunity for stillness; it was the blindness that created opportunity for sight; it was the hungry that created opportunity for justice. I don’t pray for a life without trouble – I pray for the creativity of God to speak into the trouble.

                                                                                                                   Pastor Steve Mickel

The frontiers of the kingdom of God were never advanced by men and women of caution.” Most things in life are designed to insulate us from needing courage. We wear our seat belts, put on our helmets, and drive the speed limit (I’m not suggesting otherwise). But I am challenging the idea that everything in our life is supposed to be safe, predictable, and comfortable. Ask yourself, am I too comfortable to need courage?

… Now is the time to press in, to take another step up, to ask God for more boldness.

Taken from the Lincoln Memorial looking towards the Washington Monument and the Capitol Building in Washington, D.C. in May of 2014.

Stand up to and overcome the Egypt  [symbolized by the obelisk] in this world whatever it looks life in your life!

Our National Cathedral in Washington, D.C.

We are in trouble or headed for trouble when any church officially condones any kind of sin.

What kind of message do you think that sends to our kids or to anyone for that matter?

Maybe that we can do whatever we want - who cares what God thinks?

Me personally, I like having boundaries and I like knowing where my parents stand on important issues. Life got too confusing when I didn't have enough boundaries and enough guidelines in my life. I know where God stands on important issues and I appreciate those boundaries and guidelines a whole lot these days. They make life easier and simpler for me. I recognize that we have a separation of church and state and I am all for the freedom to practice whatever religion you like.

Do any of you think that we are on dangerous ground when our churches are ignoring the Bible and they start to approve any kind of sin?
Based upon my own experiences, it seems that God warns us about not to commit these sins because He knows what hurts our souls and our spirits, even if I didn't understand? I did some of them anyways and ended up in a very sorrowful (hell) place because I ignored, wasn't able to  or didn't feel that I could follow His rules. It happened slowly and a little bit at a time and I was in very deep. The only place I could go to get out was to God and to Christ and it has been both of them who have walked me out of hell and into joy.

Ask yourself if you are following your own will or God's will?

Think about it. What really would God's will look like?

Or are you ignoring God because you want to do something different, are confused, don't understand or maybe don't care or don't believe that He exists?

Pray for your enemies and those who have fallen. Anyone can turn their lives around at any time and return to God.

                                                                                                THIS IS YOUR WAKE-UP CALL.

It's time to get up and be who you are. Wake up. Get up. Stand up.

The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.
                                                                                                                                                    (Romans 13:11-12 )

God shows me what I need to know every step of the way. If I would not have had any holy book to read or have known anything else, God showed me the way that He wants me to walk. He gave and He gives me everything that I need. He gives me guidance in all ways, direction and support.

If I didn’t have any belongings whatsoever and not a penny to my name, He would give me what I needed out of a personal relationship with Him.

If I repeat something it means that I feel it is important.

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

The Bible makes it clear that God has willed that this warfare is an absolute necessity for the development and preparation of His children to live in His Family Kingdom. It cannot be avoided; we cannot remain neutral. In one sense, we really have no choice. We must either fight or be lost.

What kind of fuel is in your lamp or in your heart?

Hate, jealousy, gluttony, lust, greed, wrath, avarice, sloth or laziness, pride, lust, envy or greed or fear -

           -  or love, joy, peace, harmony, compassion, caring, giving and walking in the commandments of the Lord?

I see the Lord [GOD] raising up a new generation that will walk in his kingdom power, not fighting amongst themselves, not fulfilling the lusts of the flesh, not having the personal issues that the enemy has been able to use against individuals in the past, like the need for personal attention to feed insecurity, the need to be liked in the ways of the flesh, the approval of people more than God, these will walk with kingdom power and authority, with the awareness to handle all that comes their way, …

Let God lead you to awake out of your slumber and through the battleground in this life and into healing and joy and peace of the heart so as to be a son and a daughter of God.

What is your gift or special talent? What makes you special? What can you do well? What can you give to others that will help their lives be better in some way?

Can you write, sing, negotiate, play sports, take care of kids, plant flowers, talk to plants, speak, entertain, throw parties, laugh, dance, build, cut hair, draw or anything else? What kind of life experience do you have that could help others live better, make better choices or change their lives for the better in some way?

… anything you do well can be used to help others or to serve God in some way. Use it to be a role model. Be an example in whatever field you find yourself playing in.

The Cross and the Crown. They go together.

Washington National Cathedral web site

Letter sent to Reverend Gary R. Hall, Retiring Dean of the National Cathedral

September 10, 2015

The Very Reverend Gary R. Hall
Dean, Washington National Cathedral
3101 Wisconsin Ave. NW
Washington, DC 20016-5098

Dear Reverend Hall:

If you truly value your mission as one of God’s servants, I urge you, as one of your last duties to the National Cathedral and to the nation, to please stand up for His flock and guide them according to Biblical standards, or at least not condoning or approving of sin in the church. As one of your last duties as Dean of the National Cathedral, I urge you to push for the National Cathedral to stand firm on the issue of same-sex relations as a sin and move to have the church no longer allow same-sex marriage in the Cathedral. I would ask that the National Cathedral stand up for the Bible and what God has given to us in His holy word and in the gift of His son, Jesus, as our Savior of this world. Just as the Cathedral stands majestically upon a hill in Washington, D.C. for all to see, I would ask that the National Cathedral be a model and beacon for the other churches in our nation and honor Christ as our King and the example of how to be obedient to God and to live with God and His will in our lives.

Ask yourself first and foremost, all personal issues aside, where is the leadership of our National Cathedral leading the flock of Jesus Christ with the decisions made and what message is being sent to God’s children. Are we conforming to society’s pressures and to the desires of our own wills or are we truly following God’s will?

I personally want to live in a country that values religious and personal freedoms but I do not agree with a church or a world that spits on God’s word. Allowing same-sex marriages under the Constitution as a civil matter is one thing but allowing them in church is another. A terrible disservice is being done to God’s children with this message because it rips open the way for people to do whatever they want and follow their own will and that sin is okay. Our leaders who allow such sin, or any sin, to be approved and lead His flock astray towards immorality, leaving them to their own will without standing up for God’s word, face His wrath as well as the consequences of their own selfish or worldly tendencies.

I know that many people find the issue of same-sex attraction confusing and I myself don’t know all the answers. I do feel that God is the only one that can answer some of our questions and this is one question or issue that would perhaps be left to be answered out of and in a personal relationship with our Creator. Maybe a personal relationship with God and/or Christ is what the church might want to consider advising people to attempt if they have questions or confusion in their lives. A personal relationship with God and Christ is where I found my answers, not in this world, as trying to do it myself and follow my own will only got me into trouble and more pain.

Many people might squirm when they read the papers I have attached, based upon my personal experiences, but please read them. Most people have no idea what dangers are really out there and what we are doing to ourselves when we ignore God’s advice.  His children are very much in danger and it is up to church leaders to lead and to guide them in a holy direction. Darkness and evil are real and they are especially active in the sexual lives and practices of many on earth today. It is one thing to not realize evil is sneaking in the back door, but quite another to fling open the front door and invite him in. The Darth Vader gargoyle which was added to the Cathedral is but a representation of the leaven in the bread. Remove the influence from the church please in all ways and stand up for God and Christ our King and Redeemer as in your own words:

There is no church or public institution in America like Washington National Cathedral, and a flourishing cathedral will nourish both the faith community and the nation itself in the years ahead. …

With every prayer for God’s blessing on this cathedral,

Yes, with every prayer that my heart can offer to God for mercy and understanding and a return of our National Cathedral as a beacon to all and a shining example of how we can live under God and have our religious and civil freedoms at the same time. If our churches are not a model for holiness our country faces grave consequences. Choose life and to follow God’s will, not our own, and lead His children to life and salvation. I urge and beg you and the National Cathedral leaders to stand up and change its stance on the issue of same-sex marriage and reverse the tide. People need the help and strength of our leaders and God at this time. We need strength of character and a willingness of our churches to follow God, not conformity to the will of self or society. Help lead and set an example for the churches of the nation to stand up for holy and moral ways of life, loving all others unconditionally as Christ showed by example, but not approving of sin. We can have unconditional love for everyone while at the same time, honor our Heavenly Father and our Savior and King, Jesus Christ.

May God and Christ be with us and have mercy on all of our souls.

Attachments are  Sexuality and Energies and Fallen Angel but these are on the Intense Stuff list so some people might be cautious in reading these two attachments. Don't read them if you don't want to see a photo of a fallen angel or read a discussion of the darker side of life.

I am glad that God has boundaries and rules and that I know where I stand with Him.

This makes it safe for me to be with Him.

Rosh Hashanah, September 2015, Feast of Trumpets

The Blowing of the Shofar: Discerning the Sound of the Trumpet for Our Generation

Yeshua wept over Jerusalem because His generation “knew not the time of their visitation” (Lk. 19:44 They should have known the time of their visitation; they should have known from the Scriptures that their generation would see the Messiah, and they should have known from the Scriptures that Yeshua was the Messiah. It is easy for us to criticize the Jewish religious leaders of Yeshua’s generation, but what about our own generation? Do we know what to expect from the Lord during the time of our visitation? In what way does the Lord want to visit our generation, and what will be the intended purpose of this visitation?

The Feast of Trumpets and the Return of Christ

The Feasts of the Lord Chapter 23 of the book of Leviticus presents all of the seven holy solemn feasts the people of Israel were to observe according to the ordinance given by God to Moses. Each feast represents a prophetic sign concerning the life and ministry of the Lord Jesus-Christ. These signs apply, consequently, also to the Church, the Body of Christ. The entire plan of God for humanity is, in an extraordinary manner, revealed by the nature and the exact dates of the seven feasts of the LORD that the Israelites were to observe. The entire destiny of the human race unfolds between the first and the last feast. God’s calendar is based on the phases of the moon. Every Jewish month begins immediately after a new moon. -

The church is still a child and has a lot of growing up to do. Still, she is destined one day to be a pure and beautiful bride of Christ.

Mary Magdalene herself had demons driven out and was cleansed and healed by Yeshua.

and let us not forget the men in this world. God also raised up Moses and King David, and both had sinned, including murder. God cleanses us and washes us clean and lets us start over anew with His endless mercy, love, grace and kindness.

Jesus rebuked Peter and said, "Get behind me, Satan. You are thinking not as God does, but as human beings do." (cf) Mk 8:33).

Jesus refuses to be confined to expectations too small to accommodate the vast wisdom of God. Messianic expectations in his day made no room for a savior who would suffer. Beware of boxes too comfortable to allow God to intrude with plans far different than your own, says Jesus to Peter.

Be like Noah ….keep on building your ark no matter what the world says.

                                                                                                         .... listen to God.

We do know that Noah’s faithful obedience to God’s blueprint served as a witness against mankind (Hebrews 11:7). We must remember that the Bible teaches us that God “is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:7). I think we can be assured that He gave Noah 120 years of warning and gave Noah the task of building an Ark with ample room so that any who repented of their wickedness might be saved also; however while God was willing to save them, they were unwilling to repent. The open door of the Ark reminds us of the Gospel message. Jesus said, “I am the door; if any man enter by Me, he shall be saved” (John 10:9). Nevertheless, though the longsuffering of God in the days of Noah while the Ark was being prepared, the day came when God shut the door of the Ark and judgment came on all those who were not aboard. Likewise, the offer of salvation by Jesus Christ has a deadline. It is appointed unto man once to die and afterward the judgment (Hebrews 9:27).

Pope Francis addressed a joint meeting of Congress in a historic speech Thursday morning.

Here’s a full transcript of his remarks.

Here is the video:

Pope Francis Speaks Before Congress | The New York Times

It is through a personal relationship with our Heavenly Father and our Lord, Jesus Christ, that we may come to a much larger understanding of Revelation, the seals, the trumpets, the writings of the prophets and the sayings of Jesus and others.

Why is this important? Because if we understand on inner spiritual levels, through the heart, the return of Christ - who is the essence of life itself - into your heart and the temple of your body and putting on the new man, one will have new levels of understanding the Jewish feasts, the seals, timing, the sacraments, the mysteries of the church, life, the horses of the apocalypse, the horse the Lord will return on, the trumpets, the cosmos, others hearts, our will vs. God's will and many other things.

A person has many levels of understanding and each will receive what they need on their own level as God reveals to each soul what they need on their journey Home.

Ezekiel 37  King James Version (KJV)

37 The hand of the Lord was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the Lord, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones,

And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry.

And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord God, thou knowest.

Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the Lord.

Thus saith the Lord God unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live:

And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the Lord.

So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone.

And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above: but there was no breath in them.

Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord God; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live.

10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.

11 Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts.

12 Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.

13 And ye shall know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves,

14 And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the Lord have spoken it, and performed it, saith the Lord.

GET UP AND RUN WE'RE GOING HOME ....                                                                         Alive - Kim Walker-Smith w/ Lyrics

One thing remains

                                                       Your love never fails

                                                                   It never gives up

It never runs out on me …

my sentiments exactly:

My God, people do not know you! If they did, you would be loved far more than you are. If people only knew your wisdom, power, goodness, beauty, and all your divine attributes, they would all have become seraphim consumed with the fire of your divine love. This is my aim: to make you known, so that you may be loved and served by all. O my God and my Father, may I know you and make you known; love you and make you loved; serve you and make you served; praise you and make all creatures praise you. Grant, my Father, that all sinners be converted, all the just persevere in grace, and all of us attain to eternal glory.

                                                                                                                                                                                    St. Anthony Claret

950 Communion of the sacraments. "The fruit of all the sacraments belongs to all the faithful. All the sacraments are sacred links uniting the faithful with one another and binding them to Jesus Christ, and above all Baptism, the gate by which we enter into the Church. The communion of saints must be understood as the communion of the sacraments. . . . The name 'communion' can be applied to all of them, for they unite us to God. . . . But this name is better suited to the Eucharist than to any other, because it is primarily the Eucharist that brings this communion about."

Father truly does give me my daily bread. Every day He dresses me for the day and gives me His grace sufficient for the day.

Every time I receive the Holy Eucharist - Christ gives me the bread of life and what I need for the day.
I can taste it and feel the energy of the sacred host in my body and feel the presence of Christ.

Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.  Give us this day our daily
bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against again
and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Amen

These are the words from the Lord's prayer in Matthew 6:9-13, taken from the King James Bible (Authorized version of the scriptures):

9 Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

11 Give us this day our daily bread.

12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

So, for me, a vision of unclean animals coming down in the midst of a spiritual crisis, was about me obeying God and doing what He asks of me, no matter how strongly I might feel against doing whatever it was he was asking me to do.

It was all about me obeying God in all ways, including eating something I might not want to eat.

The Divine Mercy Message and Devotion

The message of The Divine Mercy is simple. It is that God loves us – all of us. And, he wants us to recognize that His mercy is greater than our sins, so that we will call upon Him with trust, receive His mercy, and let it flow through us to others. Thus, all will come to share His joy.

The Divine Mercy message is one we can call to mind simply by remembering ABC:

A - Ask for His Mercy. God wants us to approach Him in prayer constantly, repenting of our sins and asking Him to pour His mercy out upon us and upon the whole world.

B - Be merciful. God wants us to receive His mercy and let it flow through us to others. He wants us to extend love and forgiveness to others just as He does to us.

C - Completely trust in Jesus. God wants us to know that the graces of His mercy are dependent upon our trust. The more we trust in Jesus, the more we will receive.

This message and devotion to Jesus as The Divine Mercy is based on the writings of Saint Faustina Kowalska, an uneducated Polish nun

This was THE largest rainbow I have ever seen in my entire life. I could not even fit the whole rainbow into the picture. It took five shots to get the whole rainbow.  It was magnificent and glorious and came at dawn in front of the storm behind it. It was a double rainbow actually. One bright and one above it. It stretched from the mountains to the west of I-5 to what appeared to be the center of the San Joaquin Valley. It was miles wide and the rainbow itself was huge. It felt like a rainbow that Noah himself must surely have seen.

about helping humanity in all areas, faiths or belief systems and walks of life.

In the life of Pope Francis, we see the journey of faith beginning with the simple act of people going out to meet each other, where they are. He calls this “encounter,” and says that because we experience God’s love there, it has the power to heal and transform. It can even break down the walls that keep us apart and transform the systems that exclude many people from the resources and relationships they need in order to thrive.

In his writing and in his pastoral visits, Pope Francis invites us to follow in the footsteps of Jesus: to include or “encounter” one another, especially those of us that society typically ignores, undervalues or “excludes”.  Most of us don’t do this very often: open ourselves up to people different from ourselves, to hear their stories and share our own.

Our challenge to ourselves and to our community is to then take the next step: from seeing all people as part of God’s family, to acting together to bring about a world that respects everyone’s dignity.

It occurs to me that man can die once to God and return to Him for forgiveness … but then he can never go back to sinning or being separate from God.

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

I can only suggest that you go to God and face your challenges and your struggles with His help and in so doing, can find relief and a going home and a peace in your heart that you might never think possible. In my having a personal relationship with Christ, He helps me and has helped me to heal those wounds and my heart by not avoiding what was creating my difficulties. My heart beats with His at times and I can honestly tell you that it is the most precious feeling alive to me, unmatched by anything in this world and a feeling which makes all the things of this world pale and fade away in comparison. My breathing matches His at times and I feel His love inside of me healing and soothing and calming and bringing me to new life out of the destruction and pain in this world. In so connecting with Jesus in my heart and my body, I feel His peace and His joy and the love that comes from sharing and learning to become as one with life and Home and the love that beats our very hearts. I learn to rely on Him to be my strength, realizing that I no longer have to try to do all of it alone and that I have help as close as my own heart. I am never alone anymore. I find the child inside of me healing in the Fatherly love present and the woman inside of me healing in the presence of the King who now sits on the throne in my heart. This feels right. This feels peaceful. He brings joy and stability and relief.

How Great Is Our God (World Edition) [feat. Chris Tomlin]

Just found this:

Of course, God did not exactly create our personal wounds and our brokenness! "It is obvious that there are many sinful desires that we suffer from over which we have no control," Janaya says. "These, like all other tendencies that are not in right order, are a fruit of original sin"—that is, they are the result of the broken and wounded condition passed down to us all from the fall of the whole human race in the beginning. Still, whatever the personal disorders that may afflict us, we can know that God would not have permitted us to bear these afflictions if he did not intend to bring good out of them, with our cooperation — indeed, a greater good than if he had not permitted them at all. That is why St. Paul wrote, "All things work for good for those who love God" (Rom 8:29) — and "all things," as St. Augustine famously said, must include our disordered inclinations and even our sins!

........ and the wound in his side opened and water gushed forth...

                                         In Christ Alone

Keeping the Passover also forces us to think about the death of God's firstborn Son and how that momentous event will lead to the eventual freeing of all mankind from Satan and from sin:

For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, "Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me." In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me." For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death till He comes. (I Corinthians 11:23-26)

Notice that this reminder to keep the Passover was recorded by the apostle Paul some years after the close of the Old Testament era. It is most decidedly a Christian observance.

I have a prayer request.

Tonight 1/25/16 (Monday), as I noted in today’s paper, a new series is coming out on TV. While not to judge anyone’s viewing preferences, this show is called “Lucifer” and is about a fallen angel turned cop, doing his own thing.

No matter what you believe spiritually, this is an issue for all of us in this world. If anyone feels that perhaps some extra prayers for this country and its youth especially, are in order, please say a few prayers if you can.

Thanks for your efforts in this regard. May God be with us all in these trying times.

The Hebrew Bible commands that "The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out" (Leviticus 6:13, KJV), regarding the altar of Burnt Offering in the Tabernacle, and later the altars in Solomon's Temple and the Second Temple (the latter sacked by Rome in 70 AD). Many churches (especially Catholic and Lutheran), along with Jewish synagogues, feature an eternal flame on or hung above their altars (churches) or Torah arks (synagogues). When a church is founded, the flame is passed from another church and the candles are regularly replaced to keep the original flame burning.

Malachi 3:1-7 KJV

1 Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts.

2 But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner's fire, and like fullers' soap:

3 And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.

4 Then shall the offering of Judah and Jerusalem be pleasant unto the LORD, as in the days of old, and as in former years.

5 And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from his right, and fear not me, saith the LORD of hosts.

6 For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

7 Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the LORD of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return?

Isaiah 59:19, in the King James Version of the Bible says,

When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.

… and His church hath made herself ready …

This veiling of sacred things speaks to a kind of hiddenness that doesn’t seek to conceal in the negative sense, but rather draw us into the depths of mystery, allowing for the mysterious to unfold. In the Old Testament, Moses veiled his face. The Holy of Holies was veiled. Brides are often veiled before the “veil is lifted.” Even Jesus, the infinite God whose glory is revealed in heaven, is “veiled” before us by the accidents of bread and wine. As a wonderful priest puts it, “Like the effect of the virtue of modesty, by the very fact that something is hidden, it is allowed to become that which it is: mysterious and beautiful.”

If you are thinking about beginning this beautiful devotion, remember that it is God before whom you wish to humble yourself. Like a religious habit, your veil is a public proclamation of your desire to submit to the will of God for your life and to answer the universal call to holiness and continual conversion. Your veil is also a sign of the great dignity that is due to a woman, who has the potential to receive life within herself… both human life and the supernatural life of God. This is an important message the world needs to hear, now more than ever! Above all, wear your veil for the greater glory of God.

I thought the following was worth noting:

Given the fact that here before the altar a Catholic woman is a living icon of the Church, and a veil on a Catholic woman - be she six or be she sixty - is a public and visible reminder of the perfect submission of the Church to the loving rule of Christ... If this time should ever come, it would be a visible sign, to all who have the spiritual eyes to see, that the Church, in her human element, is not living in submission to the loving rule of Christ. It'd be a visible sign that the Church, in her human element, was in fact in a great rebellion against her Spouse. ….

A "sign of unveiling" - what's that supposed to mean? Well, the woman is the icon of the Church, the Bride of Christ. So if massive numbers of Catholic women began to appear before the Heavenly Spouse without their veils, it would be certainly a visual foreshadowing of the unveiling. And that's probably a whole lot easier to understand if we use the word - the term derived from the Greek.

The Greek derivative for the unveiling of a bride is... the apocalypse.

Seems like the hardest thing that I do every day ... is get myself out of the way.

To that end - I find the Bible study on Hosea by Jennifer Rothschild very helpful.

God's unfailing love that changes everything. It transformed a prostitute to a treasured bride and a wayward woman to a restored wife. And it can change us too.

I heard a rooster crowing yesterday morning and it sounded like to me that he was praising God with his voice.

I understand that God comes with the dawn but I also used to wonder as a child on a farm, why the rooster started crowing at 3:00 a.m. sometimes. It used to frustrate me at times, angry at others for him waking me up so early, but maybe he was trying to tell me that God is with us even in the darkest hours of the morning, just before dawn.

Peter R. Breggin, MD: How to Help Deeply Disturbed Persons—Fourth in the" Simple Truth

There are very, very good solutions to helping disturbed people, but they run counter to the drug companies, to the government programs, to organized medicine. We need the public to be demanding these things. [like Soteria House].

and they have a saying that schizophrenia exists between the members of the family and they [open diaglogues and caring, family-oriented] are so effective that they rarely use psychiatric drugs …. They have been so effective that the rate of schizophrenia is down to almost zero.

We are not ignorant about how to help people. …. But we need you, the public, to say “this is what we want, we want caring havens to go to when we are in desperation.” [emphasis added]

Rethink  mental illness (UK)

We see through the work that we do with addiction, homelessness and knife crime that a lot of it stems back to childhood," said the royal mom, 34, ....

William and Kate, just back from a brief
ski break with son Prince George, 2, and Princess Charlotte, 10 months, have increasingly been immersing themselves in the bid to tackle mental health challenges, and understanding suicide and its prevention – and the bereavement that follows – is the next step.

The manner of receiving holy Communion

To receive the Eucharist on our tongue, he said, is to signify our humility before the Lord and to recognize that it is God himself who feeds us. [emphasis added]

From what I have personally seen and been shown, it is God who feeds us the bread of life, either personally or through the priest or other celebrant. He feeds His children by mouth [like all children], not in the hands. He give us a new heart and a new spirit and feeds us the holy bread of life Himself. Holy communion of bread from God is not given in the hands.

While doing a Bible study about conversation, the heart and speech, I noticed a few differences in a few versions of the Bible. Although I am Catholic and have a Catholic Bible, I favor most times the King James version and the language therein. I actually have about three or four different versions of the Bible and also appreciate that I can go online and get a translation from any or most versions of the Bible at several locations.

Here are a few links that I use:, and

More specifically, our Bible Study is called Conversation Peace [by mary a. kassian [sic], Lifeway Press, Nashville TN, 2015, pg. 39] and is about conversation, learning to speak and listen effectively, tame the tongue and other related matters. While doing the study I needed to read Proverbs 27:19 as it related to the heart and in looking at the Catholic version of one Bible and the King James version I found two very different interpretations or translations that I feel that I should mention.
Here they are from

Proverbs 27:19   New International Version (NIV)

19 As water reflects the face,
so one’s life reflects the heart.[a]

Proverbs 27:19  King James Version (KJV)

19 As in water face answereth to face, so the heart of man to man.

Proverbs 27:19  Revised Standard Version Catholic Edition (RSVCE)

19 As in water face answers to face,
so the mind of man reflects the man.

Do you see where mind is in place of heart in the last translation?

Check out some other versions if you wish at the above site. These are two very different things so how come the translations are so different. Why do some say heart and one says mind? Two very different meanings …

The mind is reined in by God through the heart, not the other way around.

Angels live from the heart.

Paul Wilbur The Watchman Lyrics YouTube

God is at the center.

Jesus is at the right hand of the Father.     Mary sits on the left hand of the Father.

We need both masculine and feminine energies to make us whole. The two become one and so we do not exist apart or separate from each other. It is a blending of the two that become one and a working together that helps us be whole.

In terms of energies in the body, the left side is the feminine side and the right side is the masculine side. Thus, Jesus sits at the right hand of the Father and Mary at the left.

God is masculine. The church is feminine.

The Church’s challenge today is to “fight with courage and hope… and not be afraid to raise her voice to denounce the hypocrites, manipulators and the false prophets” who would lead the faithful astray.

“The battle to preserve the roots of mankind is perhaps the greatest challenge the world has faced since its origins,” Sarah said.

“Be prophetic, be faithful, pray” for the soul of America and to “help stem the tide of evil that is spreading throughout the world,” the cardinal exhorted. “For in the end, it is God or nothing.”

Why the Church Needs a Commission on Deaconesses

On the contrary, a study of the deaconess tradition would reveal the important role that the deaconess played in the development of all-female institutions of
women in service as women to the Church. The story of the deaconess explains how she—along with widows and virgins—became a living embodiment of the feminine genius in the Church precisely by maintaining gender distinctions rather than eliminating them.

What Does It Mean That We Live In A Secular Age?

                                                          Yield My Heart

                                             It's all about the heart.

It's all about the heart. It's all about returning to the heart as a person, as a people, as a church and returning to our own hearts and to the very heart of God. It's about learning to love through everything and not running away, about being vulnerable and open to love and even hurts as well. It's being open to great joy and to another person and to God in His ways and even if not so easy to see at times, love in all its expressions. This could be said better but for now just know that it's all about what is in our hearts and love and God.
