Save Our Spirits

Dedicated to helping you get in touch with your spirit and with life again.
Dedicated to promoting wellness and a sense of being whole in all areas of our lives.
Dedicated to helping people live their lives joyfully, strongly, fully and freely.

Become whole. Become who you are in the here and now.
Become who you were created to be - a reflection of love.
Heal your body.      Heal your mind.      Heal your soul.

Ours is not the task of fixing the entire world all at once, but of stretching out to mend the part of the world that is within our reach. Any small, calm thing that one soul can do to help another soul, to assist some portion of this poor suffering world, will help immensely. It is not given to us to know which acts or by whom, will cause the critical mass to tip toward an enduring good.

                                                                                                                                You Were Made For This

Christ IS the way, the truth and the life as I have experienced in my life.

Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find anything that agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.
Siddhartha Gautama
(The Buddha)

In profound enlightenment, the ego is annihilated; it dies. In Zen we say that we must die on the cushion. Don't drop over dead, just let your ego die! The result of this dying, of this great death, is great life. A life of freedom and peace.

Now, however, I knew, I understood that I was part of the Divine and that nothing ---absolutely nothing --- could ever take that away. The (false) suspicion that we can somehow be separated from God is the root of every form of anxiety in the universe, and the cure for it --- which I received partially within the Gateway and completely within the Core --- was the knowledge that nothing can tear us from God, ever.

We who lived in the concentration camps can remember the men who walked through the huts comforting others, giving away their last piece of bread. They may have been few in number, but they offer sufficient proof that everything can be taken from a man but one thing: The last of his freedoms – to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way.

Try not to wait for someone to save you. God and Christ do save us, but try to get up and learn to do it for yourself. I was like a small child going to God for help but He helps me to grow up and get stronger every day. He teaches me how to be strong and to stand up for myself, for others and for Him. This has resulted in me feeling free of this world. I really think that He wants us to learn to go to Him for help, for advice, for strength, for love and for learning how to love unconditionally. If any of us wanted to be like God then this world seems like a great place to learn how to love like God and be like God. I think God is quite brilliant in the way that He set this earth up for all of us, no matter why we are here.

To me, Yeshua/Christ is the example. The spirit of Christ seems to be the very essence of life itself. Love, life, freedom….and it is a gift from God. It does not seem to belong only to Christians but to all who choose to follow God and follow the path of love. Christ was the embodiment of that unconditional for everyone and all things. Why can we not do the same if we choose to walk with God totally? I feel that this is possible if we are made in the image of God. How else do we learn how to love like God unless we can love people through everything and not just the happy and easy times? God was always right in the midst of my pain, my fear, my suffering, my joy and everything else. He didn’t leave me when the chips were down. He hung in there better than me and helped me through all of it.  He didn’t let go of my life even when I wanted to give up. He stayed. He loved. He helped. He never gave up on me, ever, and that alone helped me find a desire to live again. Someone, Father, loves me no matter what and never gives up on me or stops loving me. Even if I felt alone in this world He never gave up on me and never gives up on me. He helps me overcome my fears and to become stronger.

Every day He helps me. Every day He shows me that He loves me. Yesterday, He sent the birds by to show me that He cares because He knows that watching them brings me pleasure. Today He sent a squirrel. Tomorrow it could be a goose because they all make me smile. Every day He touches my heart to let me know that He cares for me and every day I find new strength, overcome some fear and find more love in this world. On the days that I get beaten up and bruised or lose a battle to a fear or something else He comforts me and helps me to get back up and keep going. Every day. Even if it is only to show me that He loves me. Just the fact that He loves me that much helps me to feel strong and loved and thus love others more.

I’m not God or Christ but they give me and show me how to love better every day, a lesson I asked to learn so many years ago. Through all of the hard times, my prayer was answered. Every day He shows me His kind of love.  This kind of love is what changes me from the inside out. This kind of love raises me up. This kind of love moves mountains. This kind of love walks on water. This kind of love heals all things. This is the kind of love that beats my heart and fills my lungs.

This is the kind of love I aspire to because it is life.

Most of all, in heaven we’ll feel loved, Colton tells me, “Dad, in heaven, you can just feel God’s love all the time.”

As a pastor, I’ve seen a lot of people who’ve shown an eagerness for heaven. But almost all of them were suffering and longed for death to bring relief from their misery and pain. Maybe it was cancer. Maybe loneliness. Maybe old age or dementia. All these sufferers wanted something better, and they looked forward to heaven as a place where their suffering or sadness would end.

Burpo, Todd and Sonja, Heaven Changes Everything: Living Every Day with Eternity in Mind, Nashville, TN, Thomas Nelson, 2012, pg. 103.

Why wait until you die to enjoy heaven? Why not learn how to feel God's love NOW? Why not have a personal and loving relationship with God while you are still alive in this world? Why not get relief from your suffering, depression or anything else now? Why wait?

If you are already strong in your own heart, let God show you how to be stronger.

Advances and research in these wine regions (as well as some Old World wine regions such as Israel), have shown that potential wine quality could increase in areas where irrigation is kept to a minimum and managed. If the vine receives too much water stress, then photosynthesis and other important process could be impacted with vine essentially shutting down. The availability of irrigation means that if drought conditions emerge, sufficient water can be provided for the plant so that the balance between water stress and development is kept to optimal levels

So, better tasting grapes have some stress in their growth ...

“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.”

"The place God calls you to is the place where your deep gladness and

the world’s deep hunger meet."

                                                                                - Frederick Buechner

One or both people are looking to another to meet their basic needs for love and security, instead of to God. So emotional dependency is a form of relational idolatry. People put their loved one or the relationship on a pedestal and worship them or it as a false god. When you look to another person to give you worth and make you feel loved and valued, they become inordinately essential. When we worship the creature rather than the Creator as in Romans 1, what results is a desperate neediness that puts us and keeps us at the mercy of the one we worship. They have a lot of power over us, which is one reason why God wants to protect us from idolatry.

Every time I let in more love and more of God and Christ into my life, the safer and more protected I become. I am safe and protected, loved and guided.

Love, and especially God's love, is our protection.

Mine was in some ways a perfect storm of near-death experiences. As a practicing neurosurgeon with decades of research and hands-on work in the operating room behind me, I was in a better-than-average position to judge not only the reality but also the implications of what happened to me.

Those implications are tremendous beyond description. My experience showed me that the death of the body and the brain are not the end of consciousness, that human experience continues beyond the grave. More important, it continues under the gaze of a God who loves and cares about each one of us and about where the universe itself and all the beings within it are ultimately going.

“And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.”
Anaïs Nin

The closer I get to God the more I feel like my true self. All the old stuff falls away and I become more clear, more calm, more loving and more me, as well as closer to God. I do not disappear. I feel like myself again.

Carry on my wayward son. They’ll be peace when you are done.
Lay your weary head to rest. Don’t you cry no more.

This gets easier and less scary all the time as I get closer to God and more familiar with what is happening.

I would not change a single thing in my life if it would remove me from where I am today or make me less than what I am today.  It doesn’t mean that I do not have some regrets or wish that I would have done some things differently but EVERYTHING that has happened has helped me to be where I am today and I would not trade that for anything. I am grateful for everything – I am thankful for my parents being there for me in the best way that they could be for me. I am thankful for everything in my life and the difficulties and challenges have made me a better person, a stronger person and a healthier person. I do not know if I would have ever found God in the large way that I found Him if not for everything that happened in my life. So, for all of it I am very grateful.

Don’t get me wrong anyone – this journey is the hardest thing that I have ever done – but it was also the easiest in some ways and it was never as hard as being where I was and being depressed, afraid, lonely and all that was in my life. There is extraordinary on the other side of your pain, depression, fear and suffering of any kind. Don’t give up. Don’t ever give up. Let God walk with you through whatever you are facing and let Him guide you for even if all you can see are dark clouds, He is always shining behind the clouds and the storm.

There is a subtle beauty and much freedom in the fact that nobody can find God for you and that a person has to eventually do it for himself or herself, when they are ready.

Let God walk you through whatever kind of obstacle you are facing in your life. Let God walk you through your fear, your pain, your life, your desire for death, your tiredness and anything else you need help getting through.

Surrender to His love and welcome Him into your heart. Let love in.

Be still and know that He is God.

Now that you have turned yourself in another direction, facing life, facing God, facing your feelings, facing life, maybe not totally, but turned in another direction and the way that you want to go, what are you going to do now? Are you going to try to continue to do it alone or are you going to ask for help? Are you going to ask God for help and work with God instead of against Him? After all, isn’t that what you wanted and what you asked for? Turn around the small selfish self and go for the gusto. Walk toward life instead of away from it. Live instead of die. Love instead of fear. Others instead of self. What would you want the world to look like if you were coming from a place of working with God? How would you go about doing that? Now that everything has fallen apart and was shattered, like you on the rocks of life, how would you begin to put the pieces of your life back together? What would you do first? What would you do differently? Which direction would you go? What would working with God look like in your life? What does God have to say about all of this and what suggestions might He have for you or for us?

Some days, I feel like a small child that has been up...  way …………. too long

I have always looked for a silver lining to be found somewhere in my suffering. There is happy from sad, good from bad, light from dark, laughter from tears and all the other silver linings to be found in the rain clouds. Look what I did after what happened in my life and what came about because I lost two family members to suicide. Sometimes great suffering brings about great changes in a person’s life or to the world.

God knows your pain, your loneliness, your sorrow, your hurt, your loss and everything else you are feeling. All of us are on the very threshold of a new day and new way of living. We can choose to continue on the way of pain and denial and lack of love or we can choose to step towards love and towards God and towards wholeness with ourselves and with others. Which way we choose to go is up to each one of us. It might not be easy to change directions in our lives but the rewards are great. What we choose to plant and grow in each of our gardens, and thus the world, is up to each one of us.

It was incredibly difficult for me to change the direction that I was going in and to turn towards God and towards life and love but the rewards have been great. I don’t claim to love anywhere near like God but I would like to learn. I have learned all I want to know about pain, sorrow, loneliness and lack of love. I have had enough of those things. I choose now to learn about love, about life, about God and how to plant a garden that might look a little something about what God might grow in His.

I think my whole emotional or mental body got broken in this place. Everything shattered for me at one point and my whole heart and body breaks in this world. I went looking for God because He was the only one that could possibly fix me or know how to fix me. When I say that everything that I thought was me shattered, I’m not kidding. Everything in me shattered but there is a freedom in the shattering of what is not real and God has much to show me if I will just listen to Him. I made a mistake but hopefully I can learn from it and be more loving instead of selfish.

I feel like the world is in the same place as me or is a reflection of what is inside of me in some ways. What happens inside of me is reflected in the world outside of me and I have the ability to change what is inside of me at any time, I think. Sometimes I don’t feel like I have any control over what is happening outside of me but perhaps I can control what is inside of me and make some changes. I know your pain, your sorrow, your loneliness and such. Perhaps I don’t know your pain exactly, but I know what it is like to lose everything that is important and to feel totally alone. I know what it is like to lose love and sharing that love with others. That is the deepest possible pain there is and what so many are facing today. God and His love are the biggest kinds of love that I have ever found and He is as close as your own heart. Let the ice melt in this world. Let things warm up a bit and thaw out inside of you as well. Instead of an avalanche of more ice and snow of selfishness and the serving the self, let it be an avalanche of love that pours out into this world. Love for God, love for self and love for others. Step into the threshold of God’s garden and let Him show us how to grow life. He’s just waiting for you and us to ask. He might turn you upside down and inside out and turn your small self into the soil for a bit but God and Christ can plant a seed in your heart that will help you to grow into a strong and true son or daughter of God with their help.

I see lots of great changes taking place in this world. I see lots of love and help and understanding in this world in so many ways but I also see lots of pain, lots of loneliness, lots of suffering and lots of denial of that suffering because people don’t know what to do to help change things or help themselves to feel better.

We complement God and He complements us.
He helps us learn to be whole inside.

Dreams can be very important. I am dreaming again and that is something that has not happened for a long time, at least not where I can remember dreaming every night. Here is a description of one I had recently.

Dream with Christ in it. First he gently comes by to get my attention but He falls off the ladder as I am hiding in my mind and not my heart. Then he comes by with a sponge and he gently tries to clean the glass barrier between us. I can see him quite clearly but I wave him away. The glass between us is clear but thick. I wave him away and point to my arm and it is bleeding. He has to climb a ladder to get to me and I am hiding in my mind, looking out at the world. The pain in my life from three incidents was very great and it is this pain which surrounds my spirit. It is this pain which is the barrier between God, Christ and I. He falls off the ladder after I wave him away and I wonder if he is hurt. I feel bad that I didn't let him in but I am bleeding from a wound. It is this pain which is the barrier between myself and others, especially those that are suffering just as I was from depression, ptsd, abuse, neglect, lack of social, coping and communication skills and other things in life which cause us pain. I am not trying to be above others. I am stuck in my mind at the moment and cannot get to my heart. I am tired and I want to go Home. The third time Christ comes back he is carrying a rock. I know what this means. It means that if I do not let him into my life gently and let love into my life gently, then some instance will come along that will hurt a lot more in an attempt to get my attention. This getting my attention will be in a much harder and more painful way, kind of like having a rock thrown at me which would crack the glass and then hopefully I would pay attention to my wound and let love into my life, for it is love that soothes the pain away.

This dream at least makes me think about what I am doing.

I am going to let the joy of the Lord fill my life and His smile be on my face.

Sittin’ on the Dock of the Bay | Playing For Change

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

                           2 Chronicles 7:14

Do any of you think that some of our difficulties in this world might be because we have fallen away from God and his ways
or that our spiritual and moral values are lacking in some way?

Do you think that the violence of this world is a reflection of how much we are hurting?

Outward expressions are reflections of what is inside a person's heart.
How can we help people's hearts to heal so that they have no desire to hurt or kill others or themselves.

Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

                                                                                                        1 Corinthians 3:16

Your body is the temple for God’s presence. Your heart is a very sacred dwelling place of God, if you will let Him share your life.

Mark 1:40-45    Jesus heals the leper

As Christ healed the leper and made him clean, so can he do for you. It may be in an instant but it may also take some time for healing and restoration and renewal. Be patient. With every beat of your heart God is renewing what is broken or in need of healing.

The love of God can clear away all fear. It is easier if we let His love in and let Him help us. Peace can be found in His presence.

There is peace and love at the foot of the cross.

These fateful days have hit us all hard and we feel it. We want something more than this suffering and worry and visible distress we have been going through. God the Lord is present in everything that happens, and we want to find the answer to all  his that he wants  from us. We want to arrive at that composure and harmony of heart that God surely wants to accomplish in us and that we owe to him. Without it, he will not avert the distress of this world from us. ... This intrinsic lack of peace within the world is because man's dispositions are no longer in conformity with God's freedom or the questions he daily poses to us. ...

                                                                                                            Magnificat, July 2015, pg. 362-363

The beauty of suffering is that it can and does bring us closer to God and to our own hearts and to those of others. There is love in suffering. There is joy in suffering. Allow it to help mend and expand your heart. Allow it to help you be closer to God.

        Our National Cathedral.

We are in trouble or headed for trouble when any church officially condones any kind of sin.

What kind of message do you think that send to our kids or to anyone for that matter?

Are you following your own will or God's will? Think about it. What really would God's will look like?

Bothered? Want to do whatever you want? Don’t believe in a God that would create something so confusing in your life? I don’t think there are any mistakes in creation? This is of course, based upon my own sinning and rebellion against God in this, and other lifetimes if one believes in reincarnation. But, still, in this lifetime the sins of a same-sex relationship and the abortion hugely damaged my body, my mind, my heart and my soul and took me further away from God instead of closer. When I turned to Him in my desperation He and His son helped me to heal my wounds and my heart in ways that I could never imagine. These wounds which affect our sexuality and our sexual organs and body parts and our hearts can be hard to heal but it can be done in a gentle way with God’s help. One for instance, is that I was afraid of men and because of what happened to me with the abortion, the betrayal of trust by a man and a woman, and the abortion so I went looking for my Father. He showed me the way home to my heart and to Christ and to life and what I needed to see for the healing of my soul.

I can only suggest that you go to them and face your challenges and your struggles with their help and in so doing, can find relief and a going home and a peace in your heart that you might never think possible. In my having a personal relationship with Christ, He helps me and has helped me to heal those wounds and my heart by not avoiding what was creating my difficulties. My heart beats with His at times and I can honestly tell you that it is the most precious feeling alive to me, unmatched by anything in this world and a feeling which makes all the things of this world pale and fade away in comparison. My breathing matches His at times and I feel His love inside of me healing and soothing and calming and bringing me to new life out of the destruction and pain in this world. In so connecting with Jesus in my heart and my body, I feel His peace and His joy and the love that comes from sharing and learning to become as one with life and Home and the love that beats our very hearts. I learn to rely on Him to be my strength, realizing that I no longer have to try to do all of it alone and that I have help as close as my own heart. I am never alone anymore. I find the child inside of me healing in the Fatherly love present and the woman inside of me healing in the presence of the King who now sits on the throne in my heart. This feels right. This feels peaceful. This brings joy and stability and relief.

Realize perhaps that like me, God is calling you to a special relationship with Him and with His son. Perhaps God is calling you to turn to Him to come home. Perhaps He is calling you to obedience to Him and to put Him first instead of ourselves and our pleasures. Perhaps He wants a personal relationship with you and your heart. Perhaps He wants to give you the love of a Father and of a son or brother or what you need in your heart. Perhaps He wants to give you all the best in life and what your heart most dearly seeks and desires, past the pleasures of this world but right to the heart and love and what truly matters the most. That is what I found anyways. True peace and true love and a daily renewal and forgiving and grace and love that never ends and always the grace and the love and support to face each day. I find new strength in His love, new healing in my body, in my mind and in my heart and soul that is readily available to anyone who turns their life to God and to Christ. They are a soul-soothing balm of pure love that never stops loving me no matter what I have done and gives me new life every day as well as new meaning, new love and new understanding every day. But peace and love like nothing else I have ever had in my life is found and in that peace and love my heart and my soul rest and find life.

This image was taken inside the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C., which is a little murky at the moment. This is Christ on His throne.

What do you think would happen if you put God on the throne in your heart first?

I, for one, welcome Father and Christ into this world, for we desperately need His help and His guidance.

I do anyways and I am asking for His help in these trying days.

Christ always comes when I call Him for help.

John 14:6-10

(6) Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. (7) "If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him." (8) Philip said to Him, "Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us." (9) Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, 'Show us the Father'? (10) Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works.

It is God who makes me whole.

                                                            Thank you Lord Jesus.

There is something very, very special about the cross and the crucifixion and the sacred mysteries of the Catholic church. Each and every  little detail about the cross and the sacraments is a beautiful part of a way to our own hearts and to God.

I heard or read somewhere something to the effect that each person has the maximum amount of suffering in their life needed to bring them closer to God or for them to always be turning to God for help. It doesn't matter who you are or what your level might be, each will have the maximum amount of suffering in their life to accomplish this task. I don't know where this came from or who said it but it seems to be true. This is perhaps one reason why you cannot compare  yourself to another and should go to God for the answers or for help.

One of the biggest reasons to look to Christ, for me anyways - Jesus DIED for each and every one of  us.

The “Theology of the Body” is St. John Paul II's integrated vision of the human person. The human body has a specific meaning, making visible an invisible reality, and is capable of revealing answers regarding fundamental questions about us and our lives:

  1. Is there a real purpose to life and if so, what is it?
  2. What does it mean that we were created in the image of God?
  3. Why were we created male and female? Does it really matter if we are one sex or another?
  4. What does the marital union of a man and woman say to us about God and his plan for our lives?
  5. What is the purpose of the married and celibate vocations?
  6. What exactly is "Love"?
  7. Is it truly possible to be pure of heart?

I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.

Nelson Mandela

“Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the assessment that something else is more important than fear.”

                                                                                                                                                            ― Franklin D. Roosevelt

It is in the crucible of suffering that our spirits are refined and we become like God.

Love is the fire that refines us, soothes our soul and helps bring us home to God.

It is how we become grown sons and daughters of God.

Love of God and Christ makes this possible and bearable.
Suffering and love bring all that is not of God to the surface and with love it is replaced with those qualities that are of God and of Christ.

"The renewal of our natures is a work of great importance. It is not to be done in a day. We have not only a new house to build up, but an old one to pull down. "

--- George Whitefield, in a letter.

Christian thought has concerned itself almost exclusively with the idea of outward substitution; that is, the substitution of the sufferings and death of Christ for man's offenses. It has looked upon Christ as taking the sinner's place; being wounded for his transgressions, and bruised for his iniquities; but has in too large a measure overlooked the equally important doctrine of inward substitution; that is, the substitution of Christ for self, the substitution of the new man for the old man, the substitution of Christ's will for man's will, of Christ's power for man's impotence, of Christ's righteousness for man's sinfulness. With the idea of Christ taking the sinner's place ought to be connected the idea of Christ taking His place in the sinner. “The Indwelling Christ” by James M. Campbell.

How to teach yourself to be one with life, with yourself, with God…. maybe

Try to learn to FEEL everything that life and this world has to offer. Learn to feel your joy, your sorrow, your grief, your pain, your love, your compassion, your anger, your hate, your laughter, your love. Feel God. Let your body and soul breathe with God. Let your heart beat with God. Learn to hear. Learn to SEE life. LIVE. TASTE. TOUCH ... and all with the heart and with a connection with God. Ask God to come into your life and your heart and your body. Learn to feel the very energy of your body and your feelings. Let your feelings sound out. SMELL the flowers. Watch them grow. Be a part of life that is all around you. See this world and those in it. Engage instead of sitting on the sidelines. Love. Laugh. Hope. Share. Care. Give. SING. Feel the music. HEAR the music. LET GO, let go of pride, of rage, of hurt and all that is not love. This will bring all of your cares and all of your fears and everything to the surface for healing, for cleansing, for love, for laughter, for safety, for sharing, for LETTING GOD LOVE US, for belonging, for service, for payment, for humility, for freedom, for existence, for life, for wholeness, for spirit.

Love is all that you need to have a relationship with God.  Try love.

I have only felt this oneness a couple of times but this is how I do it. Might work for you. Might not. The only way you will find out is by getting in touch with your own self and your own heart and the Creator. Because it is so amazing I work on these things and overcoming my fear every day. I learn something new every day. It is wonderful, scary, difficult, peaceful, loving, learning, sobering, humbling and many other things, but never short of amazing. I wish you all love and peace and life - every day. May you live instead of survive. May you live and love and find wholeness in your life as well as reunion with your spirit and that of God. Shalom.

What kept me away from God in the first place? I didn’t think that I was good enough to be loved by Him.

I was mistaken for He shows me that I am loved no matter what I have done or think that I have done. I am forgiven. I am loved. I still don’t understand completely this kind of love but it is there for any one of us at any time.

The thing about going inside one’s own heart, body and soul to find God is that much is revealed by God to those who search for God in His time and their own time and in the way it should be revealed to each person. It is very much about an individual relationship with God and that is why nobody can do it for you. When you are ready you will look more closely for Him inside of you. That is where you can find your answers and where He will reveal Himself to you – inside of yourself and in relationship with Him are to be found the secrets that you will only know through the going within your own heart. Yes, much is revealed in the holy books but there are certain things that one will not see or know, understand or find out unless they go within or develop a personal relationship with God. It all depends upon when you are ready and everyone is different. What I see or what is shown to me may not or will not be true for you in many instances and that is why nobody can tell you how to find God completely. It seems to be different for everyone and it is very much a unique, special and precious journey for each soul and spirit.

What I also found was a much bigger understanding of the teachings in the holy books and the Bible by having a personal relationship with God. Nowhere else have I been able to reach this level of understanding of the teachings other than by going within, feeling everything and having a relationship with God and Christ. I believe that God will show you the way but one must seek Him out.

With God was the one place where I found that I was supported and loved for the unique soul that I am and God was the only one, besides Christ, who knew exactly how to reach my soul and spirit with His love. I didn’t find this anywhere else and I only found it by going to my own spirit and to God directly. I didn’t think that I could ever be fixed because I was so broken but they have managed to heal some things that I thought could never be healed. Wow! That is pretty amazing for me and something very special. I respect them for who they are and what they show me in a personal way. Like any relationship it is easy at times, hard at others and so many other things. It does require a commitment, time and effort like any other relationship but it is one which I am very glad that I took the time to try to develop. I wouldn’t have it any other way now. The things that I have seen and experienced have answered so many questions for me and healed so many of my wounds and given me a sense of belonging, of protection, of peace, of safety and most importantly, of grace, of love and forgiveness, as well as many other things. I cannot ask for more because these very things are so important to me.

You are free to agree with me – or not. That is the whole purpose of this site. It is to help you think about life and we all see things differently. The reason that I say to go to God yourself is because God knows the truth and He will not lie to you. So if there are questions that you would like to have answered then that is where your answers will be found. I never say that I am 100% perfect in all this or in what I say because I am learning just like you or anyone else in this regard. Lots of this is new territory for all of us and there is much to be learned if we can all start to have a personal relationship with our Creator instead of fighting with each other about our differences. He has much to teach all of us if we will listen that can help change this world to a better place. If we all pretty much agree that there is a God then go to Him for your answers, no matter what your personal beliefs. Ask Him yourself the questions that you have in your own mind. He had the answers that I was seeking but it took me learning how to listen clearly and get out of the way for me to hear them.

God shows me what I need to know every step of the way. If I would not have had any holy book to read or knew anything else, God showed me the way that He wants me to walk. He gives me everything that I need. He gives me guidance in all ways, direction and support.

If I didn’t have any belongings whatsoever and not a penny to my name, He would give me what I needed out of a personal relationship with Him.

If I repeat something it means that I feel it is important.

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

The Bible makes it clear that God has willed that this warfare is an absolute necessity for the development and preparation of His children to live in His Family Kingdom. It cannot be avoided; we cannot remain neutral. In one sense, we really have no choice. We must either fight or be lost.

I was very pleasantly surprised when I got my answer.

There are just some things and some times in life for which there is no guide and no roadmap.

Each one of us is a flower in God's garden.

Not only do we have our own musical note, it seems we are also a musical instrument. A little discovery is that the spine plays like a xylophone in the hands of the Lord. I guess how finely tuned we are depends upon our own personal walk or connection with God.

Sing My Love (Live)

Happy Day (Live)

My God, people do not know you! If they did, you would be loved far more than you are. If people only knew your wisdom, power, goodness, beauty, and all your divine attributes, they would all have become seraphim consumed with the fire of your divine love. this is my aim: to make you known, so that you may be loved and served by all. O my God and my Father, may I know you and make you known; love you and make you loved; serve you and make you served; praise you and make all creatures praise you. Grant, my Father, that all sinners be converted, all the just persevere in grace, and all of us attain to eternal glory.
