The Secret Life of Plants

"It means even on the lower levels of life, there is a profound consciousness or awareness that bonds all things together. Published in 1973, The Secret Life of Plants was written by Peter Tompkins and Christopher Bird. It is described as “A fascinating account of the physical, emotional, and spiritual relations between plants and man.” Essentially, the subject of the book is the idea that plants may be sentient, despite their lack of a nervous system and a brain. ....

That said, this book is about much more than just plants; it delves quite deeply into such topics as the aura, psychophysics, orgone, radionics, kirlian photography, magnetism/magnetotropism, bioelectrics, dowsing, and the history of science."

So, I'm going to give you this one a little early without quite finishing it ... just because it is the Jewish new year and thus a time for new beginnings and ... it might help someone who doesn't know where else to go or is at their wit's end.

God’s grace is sufficient for me. One day at a time.

I cannot do any of this all by myself, no matter how much I try to tell myself that I can. I cannot. I need His help every step of the way.

When you are on the edge of exhaustion, insanity or suicide and you just cannot take it any more – let God or Christ take over and help you.    Surrender.

You do not have to do it alone or try to do it alone. I found that I could not do it alone. I had to let them help me… and it worked.

So I wanted to share these photos with you because they tie in with what was going on in my life. I planted these sunflowers in the back yard and they are just starting to bloom. The sunflower on the left, bloomed during the time period that the fracturing was surfacing and more specifically, about two days before I got in touch with the actual cracking or fracturing of my mind or mental body. Note how that sunflower is sad and droopy, looks at the ground and has a hard time "looking up." That is how I felt when I was so sad and depressed. This is another way that I get messages from spirit or in nature that help me in so many ways. Maybe some of you might laugh but things like this happen all of the time. Now, compare that with the sunflower on the right who opened a few days after I discovered the fracturing and had resolved some of the energies around that cracking/fracturing. Look at the difference. The old energies leave and new energy comes in and takes its place. I feel stronger, happier and I can stand a little straighter now that those energies have been released and the healing begins. Pretty amazing huh. These things become more and more apparent when you start to pay attention to what is going on around you. Stuff like this happens all of the time.

Actually, that is not what I am trying to show you in this photo. A month or so earlier I had gotten into a disagreement with someone I knew about whether or not to use substances to block out what we are feeling. I feel that substance use/abuse can be used to block out what we do not want to feel or are uncomfortable feeling, especially if those substances are abused. The person I was talking to saw nothing wrong with using those substances or with teaching a younger family member how to "party responsibly." Okay, so I understand different views and ways of seeing things but this was from someone that uses a substance all day, every day, which is abuse in my view. Only a few days later, a storm came through and knocked over two of my plants at the ground and I was unable to save the plants. This was the same number of people that I was trying to help and to try to reach and help bring some understanding to a situation. These two did not want my help, saw nothing wrong with using a substance to block out life and feelings or continuing that cycle within a family. I am doing my best to break this cycle and help others learn healthier ways of how to deal with life so this was a very difficult situation because I had known these people for a very long time.

Some seed falls on stony ground...some on fertile ground...some wither and die...some grow and live....parable ...

is what I got from the message of the two lost plants.

Matthew 13 - New King James Version (NKJV)

        The Parable of the Sower

13 On the same day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the sea. And great multitudes were gathered together to Him, so that He got into a boat and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore. Then He spoke many things to them in parables, saying: “Behold, a sower went out to sow. And as he sowed, some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds came and devoured them. Some fell on stony places, where they did not have much earth; and they immediately sprang up because they had no depth of earth. But when the sun was up they were scorched, and because they had no root they withered away. And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up and choked them. But others fell on good ground and yielded a crop: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”

So God seems to talk to us all the time - through books, the wind, clouds, people, a phone call, the rain, a present, a smile, a helping hand, holy books and places, our hearts and in so many ways.

It's okay now.

Let's look at a few more examples:

This is Mt. Shasta in Northern California. It is a sacred peak and a very special location for many folks. Okay, so do you see why it might be sacred? What kind of a feeling do you get from this view?

Do you see the masculine and the feminine energies in this peak?

Do you see the masculine side of the mountain on the left and the feminine on the right?

Do you see Eve coming out of the side of Adam?

Anything else that you notice? Any other energies, negative or positive that you feel?

So, some of the following photos may seem not to be much at all, but they all had a message for me at one time or another, just when I needed to see them:

Yield My Heart (Live) by Kim Walker-Smith

I have found in my own life that if I put in lighter and more Godly energies then it is easier to stay in a place where I am connected with God and with Christ. Our holy medals, crosses and crucifixes help protect us as well. Prayer is a very powerful protector. In the Catholic tradition, the Hail Mary is a powerful strengthener of the lower part of the body and the Our Father is a powerful strengthener of the upper body. As more and more of the joy of Christ fills my heart and body, my spirit feels more free and more connected to God. We literally do put on a new man or Christ as we connect to God. He holds us like a prayer and protects us from harm with His love, mercy and grace.

As I stand outside seeing the glorious pink and blue skies full of love from our Creator, I feel pregnant with new ideas not yet birthed ... and a white egret/stork flies over on its way North ...

see what I mean - messages from Father are all around.

... and He is so funny at times!!!

A little love coming at us. Well, maybe a lot of love coming to us.

Do you know that the dandelion is one of the most useful of herbs, and so much more than what many think of as a weed to be pulled out of the lawns.

The root can be dried and used for tea and added to coffee. The leaves are great in salads and are excellent for the liver. You can eat the flowers or they make a soothing, tasty tea, along with the dried leaves. This whole plant is an excellent detoxifier and beneficial to the liver, among other things.

[Lent/Easter 2016] - so the big dipper is right above us at night and early am in the months before. Go to this image of the big and little dipper and study them a bit. Right now, the big dipper is handle to the east and the opening of the cup is poised right above us here in this valley in California. Give the constellations a study and how they appear together. Where, or in what constellation, is the North Star? Any other impressions about how these two constellations might relate to this world or to our spirituality.

Dear God ... I love this stuff ... thank you for loving us and that being all we need really but this is immensely fun at the same time.

                                                             Yield My Heart

                                             It's all about the heart.

It's all about the heart. It's all about returning to the heart as a person, as a people, as a church and returning to our own hearts and to the very heart of God. it's about learning to love through everything and not running away, about being vulnerable and open to love and even hurts as well. It's being open to great joy and to another person and to God in His ways and even if not so easy to see at times, love in all its expressions. This could be said better but for now just know that it's all about what is in our hearts and love and God.
